Features: Derivative design spare parts from the TCH series reduce spare parts costs at reduced prices. The TCD/SP series of pumps has been specially developed for use with vegetable oils. The design differs from the standard TCD series only in the mechanical seal; an intermediate cover has been added outside the mechanical seal. This intermediate cover must be connected to a tank containing oil compatible with the pumped liquid. This device prevents air from entering the pump in the event of a mechanical seal failure, irreparably oxidizing the pumped oil, or oil from the bearings from entering the pump circuit, or vice versa.
Additional information: the heat from the pumped product is largely blocked by a special "thermal barrier" chamber located between the pump housing and the impeller.
The rotor is supported by large C3 series ball bearings, which are lubricated with medium viscosity oil.
