Warning: If a pump is bushing with a PTFE, ceramic or silicon carbide sleeve, it cannot run dry without causing damage to the pump. It is recommended to use dry-running protection. However, the pump can run dry if equipped with a carbon sleeve. The exact length of time a pump can run dry with a carbon sleeve depends on the operating and environmental conditions.
Construction:
- Corrosion-resistant polypropylene (82°C) or PVDF (104°C);
- Rare earth magnets;
- Cast S-shaped suction channel eliminates the need for a check valve;
- Easy external drive adjustment ensures optimal alignment and motor installation;
- cam O-rings and other options;
- Carbon, ceramic, Teflon, carborundum sleeves;
- NEMA or IEC motors;
- Threaded, sleeve and flange connections;
- Special "snail" design allows for fast suction.
Applications:
- Pumping and transportation from railcars, tank trucks, sumps, pits, temporary storage or underground tanks to processing or storage locations;
- Installation outside the storage area;
- Pipeline system with air plugs;
- When protection against complete pumping is required.
Typical pumped media:
- Sodium hydroxide and hypochlorite;
- Sulfuric, hydrochloric and nitric acids;
- Various alkalis;
- Corrosive mixtures, solvents, chemical wastewater.
