Applications:
- Mining and enrichment of metals and minerals;
- Feeding to filter presses;
- Stone processing;
- Ceramics.
Environments:
- Highly abrasive liquids;
- Highly acidic liquids;
- Highly acidic liquids containing abrasive suspensions;
- Liquids containing petroleum products;
- Chemical solutions of salts;
- Drilling fluids;
- Solutions and suspensions of increased viscosity;
- Water containing impurities.
Impeller:
Impellers for multistage pumps can be made of the following materials:
- Metal;
- Hardalloy alloy;
- Metal with rubber lining;
- Polypropylene, fluoroplastic.
The number of blades (vanes) depends on the pump model, its size and the characteristics of the pumped liquid.
Seal type:
PEMO multistage pumps have the following type of seals:
- Double mechanical seal;
- All mechanical seals in horizontal pumps are made of tungsten carbide (Widia) or silicon dioxide carbide.
Features:
- Low maintenance costs;
- Pump-motor connection: V-belts or flexible coaxial connection (coupling);
- All mechanical seals are made of silicon dioxide or tungsten carbide (Widia);
- Lubrication of 2 mechanical seals can be done with flushing water at normal pressure or with oil using a closed circuit;
- Bearing lubrication with oil only in horizontal versions;
- The motor operation is usually controlled and monitored by an inverter;
- Multistage PEMO Pumps are mainly produced in AT/AB/DC versions, i.e. with two stages in horizontal design with side suction;
- All new pump versions are manufactured using ceramic slide technology to achieve pressures to 24 bar (350 psi).
Two-stage versions:
- Two-stage PEMO Pumps can reach pressures to 12-20 bar / H2O (174-290 psi), making them the ideal solution for supplying solutions to filter presses;
- They pump suspensions when distances or pressure losses in the pipelines are very high;
- Currently, ten models of PEMO DC pumps are manufactured with power from 30 to 132 kW (40–180 hp) and capacity from 30 to 600 m³/h (7925–158,500 gallons per hour).
Three-stage versions:
- Three-stage pumps that reach pressures to 24 bar, operate 24 hours a day, are used in the ceramic industry, for supplying solutions to spray dryers.
