UltraChem (UC) pumps

UltraChem (UC) magnetic coupling pump.

to 170 m³/h.

to 67 m.w.s.

Technical documentation

The metal centrifugal hermetic chemical pump with a magnetic coupling of the UC series from FINISH THOMPSON INC. (USA) is non-self-priming. The pump is designed for pumping aggressive chemically active liquids with a density of to 1800 kg/m3, a viscosity of to 150 cPs. The concentration of suspended particles should not exceed 1.25 mg/cc. The pump is ideally suited for operation at ultra-low ambient temperatures. It is used for pumping liquids such as: sodium hydroxide and hypochloride, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, alkalis, various corrosive mixtures, solvents, wastewater with chemical impurities, etc.

Construction:

- Cast iron housing with Tefzel DuPont coating;
- Housings meet ANSI/B73.1M;
- High strength rare earth neodymium magnets;
- Closed pump impeller made of ETFE reinforced carbon fiber for increased corrosion resistance;
- Inner drive sleeve made of ETFE coated magnet for added protection;
-Carbide or carbon bushings;
- Rubber O-rings, Kalrez , Simriz or Aflas;
- TEFC, Chem duty, EXP NEMA or IEC motors.

Applications:

- Processing, spraying, unloading and transporting liquids with increased corrosive properties;
- Circulation/filtration of water, acids and wastewater;
- Treatment plants.

Typical pumped media:

- Sodium hydroxide and hypochlorite;
- Sulfuric, hydrochloric and nitric acids;
- Various alkalis, corrosive mixtures, solvents, wastewater.

REFERENCE!

ETFE is a polymeric material new generation, a copolymer of ethylene and tetrafluoroethylene. These structural units in the polymer chain give it the best properties. The closest materials to ETFE, which have firmly entered our lives and are widely used in the manufacture of chemical pumps, are polyethylene and Teflon (polytetrafluoroethylene). It was invented by Dupont and used in aviation and astronautics. It was in these areas of human activity that the unique insulating and mechanical properties of the polymer were needed, as well as their stability in a wide temperature range, including ultra-low ones. The material has found wide application as a coating for containers transporting aggressive liquids. ETFE has high resistance to chemical aggressors and UV radiation.
